Cutting expenditure - organizational crush or recovery?

On 2 June 2009 at the Radisson SAS Hotel InterConsult Bulgaria (ICB) took part in the annual Intelligent Systems for Business Management Seminar, organized by SAGA technology.
During the event, Ms Bistra Papazova, senior consultant at ICB, made a presentation on intelligent methods for cutting expenditure at the organizations by introducing business process management and control policies and balanced scorecard.
Business process management is focused on efficiency was the motto of the presented methodology which laid the stress on the different ways for applying business process optimization methods by analyzing the business processes, analyzing the information flow and bringing to the forefront the steps with value added for the business.
The main methods illustrated by Ms Papazova were based on the well known IDS Sheer ARIS methodology for process management and included:
• Cutting the redundant steps in the business process;
• Eliminating the doubling activities;
• Standardizing processes;
• Improving the overall planning.
Ms Papazova also presented the long ICB experience in implementing projects for business process management and structuring, as some of the shown examples included the projects in the National Power Plant Kozloduy, E.ON Bulgaria, Prista Oil, Sofiyska voda and other industrial leaders.
